About the Area

La Lonja is one of the most popular areas in Palmas old town. In the past, Palmas Fish Market, Lonjan, was here. It is still one of the most iconic buildings in Palma. The area, located between Santa Catalina and the cathedral, has winding and narrow streets with several open squares lined with cafes and restaurants. It's the perfect location for a good night out, but also for basically everything else. There are shops and museums and close to the shopping streets, and the buses to the beach are never more than 200 meters away. In La Lonja you are both charming and central. There is also a wealth of excellent places to eat, drink and people watching.

Public Transport

From La Lonja you are 20 minutes walk or 5 minutes bus ride to Plaza España, which is Mallorca's communications hub. From Plaza España, all the city buses and country buses, the commuter train and the narrow-lane railway to Soller go.
